Dan, I just finished the book, and I don't know what to say....it was Amazing!!! I laughed and I cried. So many moments of that story touched me in ways I could never describe. I have always been a huge supporter of the cancer society ever since I was a little girl canvassing in Wileville for donations, and especially since my father died at home from cancer in 1996. I have seen the effects up close and personal and from someone looking in, it’s a tough disease, and to hear it from a survivors point of view leaves me speechless. Roseanne Himmelman was a dear friend of mine as our families have been lifelong friends, and there was a point in my life that I would have never gotten through without her. She was my source of strength after she came back home from BC and was fighting for her life. Even to do this day, thinking of her strength can get me through pretty much anything, so seeing her name in your book made me grab the kleenex once again.
I admire your strength, courage, and determination to have dealt with everything you did, during what was, undoubtable, the worst time of your life. So many people would have given up, I know I would have. But not you....you fought!!!! I am so proud to know you, you are a hero, and you will continue to be one for years to come. Cancer is a horrible disease that many of us, including myself, are scared to be faced with. At this point, my doctors say I have very strong chance of developing the disease, (as I had a very close call a few years back) so they are now monitoring me closely to be proactive. As I read your story, I only hoped that if I got the call one day, that I could find an ounce of the strength you did. It fascinated me that while looking at the dates and remembering first meeting you at Osprey, that I never would have guessed what you had just gone through. Looking back know, it amazes me even more. I am already forcing people to either go buy the book or read my copy, as I think everyone should read it. Again, I am very proud to know you and I admire you.
Congratulations on a job very very well done!!!!

Great book! Just what I expected from you. I could almost hear all those wise cracks with the doctors and nurses as if I was there with you. You're doing a good thing my friend!

"Well Dan, I finished your book last night, & I must say - VERY IMPRESSIVE! & YES, we can definitely take it to the big shows! I have read a lot of books over the years, & I can honestly say that I have never teared-up, smiled & laughed so many times, while reading such a serious topic! Your story is so compelling that it should be shared with as many people as possible. You have so much to offer, not only to cancer patients, but their families as well. Because you were so honest & forthright, about such a serious topic, while keeping the reader enthralled with your most charming humour, I was totally captivated from page 1 right until the end. I can guarantee this book will help you achieve all your goals. Even people who haven't been fighting cancer themselves, can benefit from your story.
...to be continued..."

Hey Dan,
Just wanted to let you know, if you need a book promoter, I am it!! LOL… I finished your book and I LOVED IT!!!! Absolutely the best I’ve read in a long time. I was camping this weekend and while I am sitting there my eyes are filled with tears over the chapter over your mother. I to loss my mom 14years ago to cancer at the age of 46.. I knew many of the people who you mentioned in your book and that was touching.
Then in the next breath I was laughing over your wiener zingers…
Thank you for sharing your story….
I was at my doctors yesterday and recommended she get her hands on some. I also told her that she should go to the website and order some for her male clients. I do believe she will. Stay tuned. You really should take this career up on a full time basis.. Not that you are not a good Realtor, I did sing your praises when you sold my house, but you clearly write like you speak!!
Thank you again for your wonderful story…

"I read the whole book in one night. Great writing. I didn't realize that all happened at the same time as your mom was sick. I thought the book was very well written, (made me laugh AND cry) and I'm glad you're getting the message out. As a wife, I preach it all the time, but sometimes it takes another man to make someone listen. So -- thanks for sharing your story. Keep up the good work." .... E-mail message from reader.
